■ Live TV broadcast from Kotaki Hisuikyo (Jade gorge)


On June 12, 2008, Kotaki hisuikyo was live broadcasted for the first time ever on NHK TV program titled ‘Ohayou Nippon (Good morning Japan)’ . Luckily the filming went on under the fine blue sky despite the rain from a night before. It was so beautiful to see the enormous limestone rock wall of Mt.Myojo was gradually shining with rising sun. Many people, member of ‘Citizens Group to Promote Itoigawa Geopark’, ‘Fossa Magna Museum friend’ and the people of the area, shared the special time. The program was broadcasted twice, first nationwide and  to the Kanto and Koshinetsu district again.
